A vintage Spanish poster created by the Spanish artist José Morell Macías. It was designed to promote the Fiestas de Primavera, or Spring Festivities, to celebrate Holy Week in Seville.

The beautiful 1921 Sevilla Fiestas de Primavera poster portrays a woman in a white flamenco dress holding a guitar in one hand and a black shawl on her left arm. She is standing, staring directly at the viewer. She is standing in front of a man on a magnificent white horse. Behind the horse is an orange tree bearing fruit, while on the right-hand side, a flock of swallows swoops down behind the rider. In the background, the Giralda bell tower of Seville’s Cathedral can be seen.

The text on this vibrant, colorful reproduction reads Sevilla, Fiestas de Primavera 1921. Semana Santa Y Feria. The vintage SpanishPosterr is titled “When the swallows arrive” and was published by José Ortega, based in Valencia.
