Emil Cardinaux designed this poster in 1928 for the "Simplon Line" train Company. In 1949, the same company re-ordered a second edition poster with the same scene. The poster we are selling here is the second authorized edition, printed in 1949. The castel is the "château de Chillon" close to Montreux on the lake Geneva in Switzerland, The mountains are the Dents du Midi. A fine lithographic poster by the Master
